The crazy group in LCCT

Friends come and go in our lives. Some may always stay beside us for entire life, some may just leave us to somewhere else to lead a better life, or some may just even leave us, forever.

The group of friends that I have in the picture shown above, are friends of 'mix and match', if you understand what I am trying to say. We did not form a group just like this and not everyone knows everyone else very well, but still we hang out, joked and had fun together. We may come from different batches and different courses, but we have something in common that connected us together. That is why this friendship is something worth to be treasured.

Hua Loong, we hope that you can always excel in everything in your life, especially in your singing! Do not forget us when you become famous one day XD Take care and hope to see you soon!

Machine Vision notes

Did nothing much today except napping and studying Machine Vision. Tomorrow is MV mid term so gotta study hard. Not sure how will the questions be, but I think they will not be too easy.

All the best people!

p/s: Should really master this subject because if I really make up my mind to further my studies in engineering field, this or other related fields shall be what I will want to venture into.

Soo Yee's Belated 22nd Birthday Celebration

Soo Yee's birthday was weeks ago but we did not manage to celebrate for her because she was in Melbourne during her actual big day. So today was her belated birthday celebration. Well she did not mind as long as we celebrated for her, right babe? XD

Did not really plan a lot ahead before this day, but I did ask around for some nice dining places. In the end we decided to dine in Kissaten @ Jaya One, PJ. The food was not bad, but I like their service more. Super friendly waiters and waitresses who are always there to help you out with CHARMING smiles. Love it!

Anyway, what made this celebration a bit different from the previous ones was the cake that we gave her. Well, it might be an ordinary cake, but the wordings and decorations were actually designed by us - Me and Fernie. You gotta check this outlet out if you feel like decorating the cake yourself for your special someone =)

The name of this outlet is Pastry Culture which is located inside Tropicana City Mall. We had tons of fun decorating it. Though the deco and wordings were not perfectly done, but they looked cute and unique... the most important thing is, Yee Yee loves it very very much! Hehe.. So now let the pictures do the talking!

DIY Cakes - Decorate It Yourself

The process, from decoration-less to a lovely decorated cake!

Notice the centre picture which consists of the cake, some fruits on the left and decoration pieces on the right? Well those were provided by Pastry Culture plus 3 cream colours for us to write wordings on top of the cake. Though the items provided were like leftover sums, but still we enjoyed the process of doing it ^^
Look at the pictures below and you will know how much effort and love we put in to decorate this cake for yee yee!

WE ♥ YOU

Upon completing the cake, me, kuak, fernie and kenny set off to Jaya One to meet Hon Sern and Yee Yee. Altogether 3 cars. So un-environmental friendly =_=

Kissaten @ Jaya One, PJ

It was my couson who recommended this restaurant. She told me that the "Char Siew Pizza" is a must-order-food, so we ordered it. Not bad I would say, and would order again if I am going there again.

The pretty birthday girl!

The gang who celebrated with her

Oops!! Haha if Yee was to read this post, she is going to kill me for sure. To prevent that from happening, I must clarify that Yee and Hon Sern are not couple. Hehe

Vivi is missing, again..

♥♥ Mwah!! ♥♥

Yee Yee, hope that you really enjoyed this dinner with a mini celebration. It was great catching up with you guys, and I can't wait for our next gathering to come !

Once again, Yee Yee, Happy 22nd Birthday!

A very unique birthday cake for Yee Yee

Some people may say, "Practice makes perfect, but nothing is perfect. So why bother to practise?"

Well it's true that nothing is perfect, but we can always try our best to make things to near perfect, isn't it? After all, it is the effort that matters the most, right?

Just like the cake above. The decorations and wordings obviously were not perfectly done, but they were mine and Fernie's effort. We put lots of ♥♥♥ and effort in completing it while enjoying the entire process. In the end, Yee Yee still love it and I bet it is a memorable cake not just for her, but all of us.

So, we may not make things perfect even if we have tried our best, but the process of making it to near perfect may be one that we will not forget in our lives. Agree?

Sherril's Project 365: #7

Finally, today is the day that all of us have prepared for - National Mathematics Competition 2010. Do not be mistaken. Obviously I was not one of the participants for this competition as my Maths is really lousy. Instead, I was one of the organizing committee - Assistant Program Manager.

While waiting for Category C to end...

This is the 2nd time I cooperated with Zhi Hong, my Program Manager. The previous time he was my Treasurer for Orientation Ice Breaking Program. Hopefully I did not create trouble for him during the event.

The program flow was a bit messy at the very beginning, but it got smoother and things were on track after the competitions started. It was another experience for me as I think this was the only event that I was involved in with outsiders participating. You know, with outsiders we really should not mess things up.

I was kind of happy when 1 of the participants told me that the event was very well done. Hmm.. I am not sure if it was just his courtesy to say that or it was supposed to be a compliment, but I shall take it as a compliment! Haha and there was another girl that told me that our campus was quite nice. Well....... I was of course stunned by her words, but I guess though we complained a lot about our uni, there are worse university conditions than us. So maybe, we should feel grateful =)

Not sure if we can call this event a success, but it has ended well and this shall be my very last event in UTAR. I am glad it is all over now XD

With my all time favourite lecturer - Mr Ong

Mr Ong, many participants complained that the questions were very very very very difficult. LOL.. thank god I did not participate if not you will laugh when you mark my answer haha.

Anyway, thank you Mr Ong for giving me the chance to be taller than you. Haha will miss talking to you and your lectures when I graduate. And you better not forget me XD

Kuak's sick day

So why the Glucolin in Blackcurrent Flavour?

Kuak is sick right now, food poisoning. *sigh*

Must blame the food in cafeteria - fried rice and fried egg. After his breakfast, he felt unwell. Vomitted when he reached home after 3pm lecture. So he went to see doctor and slept whole day.

Was quite shocked when Siang Wei told me he was sick. Kuak did not inform me because I stayed back in uni till 10pm for Maths Competition rehearsal. Hopefully he will feel better tomorrow.

And hopefully.. tomorrow's event will be successful. *praying*

Sherril's Project 365: #5

Today I am god damn crazy. Tomorrow is Friday and I have to hand in my report which is still incomplete. But at the same time, I am quite worried about this Saturday's event - National Mathematics Competition 2010. Mr. Lim just threw us questions that pressured us. *sigh*

Hopefully I will be able to complete my report in time before I doze off and I really hope that tomorrow's rehearsal will turn out fine whereby the computers and servers are functional!!

Dolly Dolls

Once upon a time when we were still kids
We used to mingle around at each others house
I still remember we love to make cards for friends during special occasions
And I love to play with your puppy
Back then we were still so naive and life was simple for us

As we entered high school we started to hang out with different gang
But still our friendship remain unchanged
We were still best of best friends
Did many silly things together
Talked and shared about almost everything
We as teenagers at that time started to talk about our dreams
How we would like to grow up as
How our house should be built and linked together
Where we should study and work
What kind of guy we would like to marry in the future

I thought we would be best friends for life
But too bad we kinda drifted apart after you went overseas
I did not keep in touch enough with you and I regretted that
When you came back somehow our bond was not there anymore
At that time I knew that
We may not be best friends in the future
But in my heart, you were my best childhood friend
And you will always stand a special place in my heart
I will always carry those priceless memories with me till the day I am gone

My dear friend
Happy belated birthday to you
I would like to let you know that
Having you in my life is one of the greatest thing that has ever happened to me
Take care and all the best
I miss you =)

IF your name is AH FU...

then how will you spell your name out loud when you are required to do so for erm.. let's say booking for sing k session or when the "banci penduduk" people come to your house to carry out the "population statistic" thing?

So, today there was a couple who came over to my house to carry out this statistical thing. Everyone in the house was asked to give their particulars while the couple jotted down in their papers.. yeah, they are still using papers to record.

Then, it was one of my housemate's turn to be 'interviewed':

The girl: Nama?

Housemate: G.O.H.

The girl: *busy jotting down the surname GOH*

Housemate: L.I.A.N.G.

The girl: *continue writing LIANG*

Housemate: F.U.

The girl: *stopped and looked up*

The guy: *turned back to look at my housemate*

The rest of us: *laughing uncontrollably*

Housemate: *realised he has to repeat in a different manner* erm.. F dan U.

The girl: *finally understood and jotted down FU*

The rest of us: *still laughing*

I know we were bad and should not laugh.. but the F.U. really funny. So next time, when you give names to your child, there are so many things to consider because bad words nowadays are so common lol.

By the way if you still do not get it, F. U. is a short form of "F*CK YOU".

Anyway, if you happen to read this (my dear housemate), please do not hate me. No offence ya!

p/s: I have changed the name of my housemate in this post...

Jay Chou, a man who is determined in pursuing his dreams

From a quiet 21-year old guy who was still lack of confidence, after 10 years of hard work, Jay Chou has transformed into a successful, confident man who became one of the prominent singers in the music industry.

Despite those hardships that he encountered all these years, he was determined to achieve his dreams. His success in various fields proved that his efforts and determination were paid off well.

People always like to ask me, "Why do you like Jay Chou? He is not handsome and his songs are not really that nice."

Well, I know he does not have the looks of handsome Wang LeeHom but I like him not because of that. But it's because of the person he is and the music that he created that have accompanied me through these 10 years. Maybe his movies are really not nice, but I still admire him because he really tried his best to achieve what he wanted in life.

Therefore, I must be like him... choose my path and pursue my dreams bravely! There you go, Sherril Leow!
