CNY holiday update

People, how is CNY? Mine was not bad, got to spend real quality time with parents, relatives and friends. Now that I am already back in KL, I miss my home, my new painted-blue room.... I still want to enjoy the love and care given by my parents >.< I am such a baby girl huh? Well, I can't help it =)

This post is basically about how I spent my CNY holiday. For the first time after so many years in UTAR I had such a long CNY break!! WOhoooO~!!

22-01-2009 (Thursday)

Reached Penang at night.

It was Vivi's birthday. Hoho.. she finally turned 21 years old. Yeah she wants to be FOREVER 21!!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

23-01-2009 (Friday)

Vivi's birthday party. She purposely delayed her party because me and Fern could only make it on this day. Well for the sake of her besties, she delayed it =) Overnighted at her house with fern, yee, mei na & wan ting.

Her cake - homemade cake. It is very DELICIOUS!!!

Vivi & her Chris - best couple of the year. I am so JEALOUS!! :P

Family picture. Papa and his 'kuai lui's =)

My 'son', whom I am very proud of =) Siao siao, his results in uni (dentistry) is only either Distiction or High Distinction! No need to hope anymore, his is attached haha.
p/s: Please ignore the height difference!

All the Peng Hwa girls!!! Peng Hwa = PCGHS = my high school

Fern and I helping Vivi to clean up. So good of us *self praise*

Our Ang Pows for her. These are her best prezzies because we gave her cash! Now she can spend them on her long-dreamt tattoo =)

Present from her lecturer. It is a pair of HANDMADE earrings that is why it is so expensive! Her lecturer made these earrings and sold them in a shop.

An extravagant prezzie from her college friend. OOhhh she loves it!

All her presents.

24-01-2009 (Saturday)
Helped my parents with the preparation stuffs and went to buy those fishball thingy at "Goh Tiau Loh" (Road 5) market.

At night, we had a girls' night out at Mois. Well, Fern suggested it so we just tagged along. That was my 1st time in VIP wohoo!! Met Kevin, Uncle Benny and my god brother there..... After having supper at about 3.30am at McD, Fern and Yee overnighted at my house. We chilled and chatted for sometime before falling off asleep =)

Vivi is pretty, isn't she?

I love you babes!! *muacks*

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

25-01-2009 (Sunday)

Reunion dinner!

Haha this year is my family's turn to host for it. Met my relatives from my dad's side. Nice to see everybody again. Too bad my brother was not back for it =(

But something made me went to sleep happily. Hehe... after so long, this was the 1st time *HE* answered my phone and talked nicely to me. Oh god, I miss those sweet old times when we talked and talked over the phone......

Steamboat with the usual food.

My parents and I. Oh I miss my brother!!!

Look, my face and neck are so red! That is the result of drinking too much wine hehe =)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

26-01-2009 (Monday)

The BIG DAY!

Hehe... after dressing up, everyone went over to Shyuan's house to visit my beloved grandmom. Then everyone gathered at my house for steamboat breakfast. About 9.30am we set off to "bai nian". Well the same old routine every year. Got ang pows from the same people, snack a bit here and there and soon we went back our house for steamboat lunch again. Yeah, 3 meals of steamboat consecutively!!! LOL...

The food. I know my brother misses them :P

Isn't this packing CUTE???!!

Kinda boring after lunch because well, something's missing in my life and I just could not act as if nothing happened. So, stayed in at home till night. Then me and mum started grumbling about what a boring day it was. Haha so for the 1st time, dad, mom and I went to somewhere just for a stroll. Kinda enjoyed that trip because I felt so home... I miss them now =(

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

27-01-2009 (Tuesday)

The 2nd Big Day!

Mom woke me up to have dim sum with my grandmom and relatives. I thought Shyuan would be going too so I forced myself up and dragged myself there. Mana tau she overnighted her aunt's house and did not go for breakfast. *sigh* Should have stayed back for more sleep.

Went to my aunt's house for lunch (yeah, it was steamboat again) and gambled with my cousins. I lost the most among them but I remembered Shyuan earned some moneny. ISH...

My relatives from my mom's side reached my house from KL in the evening. Well you know, we had STEAMBOAT again for dinner at my house. LOL that is how everytime I get fat after CNY *sigh*

Took my cousins to Queensbay after dinner and we practically just shopped at Forever 21 until 10pm. Haha girls are forever girls... Alicia complained that she was hungry after shopping (I don't know how her food could be digested in such a short period) and wanted to go Gurney for supper. Ok, so I drove there and was lucky enough to find a parking space.

Wah I tell you, she could eat a lot. You know what the 4 of us ordered? 1 Mua Chee, 2 packets of Apom, 2 Sugar Cane drinks, 1 Honey Rojak and 2 plates of Fried Oyster. God.... they are seriously huge eaters =)

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

28-01-2009 (Wednesday)

As usual, we went visiting to my mom's relatives along with my cousins, aunts and uncles. We celebrated my youngest cousin brother's birthday at my 'Sam Suk Gong's (mom's 3rd uncle) house. He turned 2 years old this year =) Ordered a whole Classic Cheese cake from Secret Recipe, 4 pizzas and KFC. The visiting ended in the evening. I was moodless, tired and was feeling freaking hot after that because of the weather.

In this family, there is a tradition whereby we, the younger generation will take turns to treat the whole family of 19 people (including my brother) a dinner during the 3rd night of CNY. My brother was the first one because he was 1st graduate and found a job. Year 2012 will be my turn because I will graduate in 2011 and will start working after that. Still a long time to go~!

After dinner, I drove my cousins to Batu Feringghi night market. They were seriously so excited about it because they love there. Well, everyone bought something but mostly are DVDs and CDs.

Gambled again that night and I lost the most again =(

cousins - me, joanne, jamie, alicia

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

29-01-2009 (Thursday)

Jamie, Joanne and their dad went back to KL because Jamie needed to work on Friday and Joanne had classes on Friday.

I spent the day with Alicia, my the other cousin. Picked up her friend who was from Melbourne, Sandy from the jetty and went shopping at Gurney. Before dropping her back, we went to take a stroll along the jetty point. Haha I realised that the view was quite fascinating though I always neglect that place and just drive pass.

2 leng lui's - Sandy and Alicia.

3 of us.

Fascinating view, isn't it?

Sunset.

Had dinner with Alicia and her Monash friend at Faces. Her friend happened to be my god brother's friend, whom I was introduced to when I went Mois. It is indeed such a small world!

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

30-01-2009 (Friday)

All my cousins, aunts and uncles went back in the morning. So once again I was left with my parents. Suddenly, my house became quiet again =)

Went visiting with my sisters starting from Chendy's and Jureen's house (they are sisters but not twins), following by Jhu's,Chian's, Kai's, Doreen's and finally mine. The visiting ended at about 8pm hehe.

After flying back to her house to wash up, Chendy came back my house to pick me and Doreen up and off we went to Gee How's house. As usual, there would be a gathering at his house during CNY. OOh... how I miss everyone over there especially those who came back from Perth and Melbourne. I always love this gathering =)

Gee How and I. He's flying back to Melbourne *sobsob*

31-01-2009 (Saturday)

Kinda boring so for the very first time, mom and I went to watch movie together. Yea, the very first time! Love it!! Haha.. not love the movie but love it because I went movie with mum =)

We watched this movie.

01-02-2009 (Sunday)

Had my final round of dim sum before returning to KL. Haha that is what I always do on the Sunday before coming back here. I always miss dim sum in Penang!

Caught a movie with Fern, Vivi and Chris - Bride Wars. Met Daniel, Jun Chong and Pei I'ng at Borders. Quite happy to have caught up a bit with Daniel. We were once very good friends back in high school. The day ended with a dinner with my mom at Kim Gary. Finally, my 1st time dining in Kim Gary @ Queensbay. There is always a long queue outside it and I am always lazy to line up =)

Just another ordinary day

Just finished playing mahjong with Shyuan and Tze Yu at our house. Actually I prefer 4 kaki, because nicer and more "meriah". Hmm, but Kuak did not want to play as he said he was NOT INTERESTED. Is that so? Then why last time we - me, Kuak and Tze Yu could play for the whole night and ended up skipping the next day class? W.E.I.R.D.

Grabbed from here.

Anyway, I just won a few rounds. Luck was not with me but I did not mind much. I just wanted to play to pass my time. Life, is so bored and targetless these days. Last time, when I did not have anything to do, I could just walk over and kacau him. Haha but now the case is so different. It seems like we are now walking on our own paths, each other business is no longer related to each other (though to me I still care). Whatever.

Yesterday went KLCC for shopping with dear Chian. I practically dragged her to follow me there haha because Fern and Li Pei PPK me. She was a bit lazy but I kind of forced her to follow me. Anyway in the end she was the one who was so 'semangat berbara-bara' to go.

Well hmm actually KLCC is not an ideal place to shop for people with tight financial status like us. But since I just wanted to go out and not really to shop, she suggested to go KLCC as it is nearer.

Before going out, Fern did some make-up on us haha. Lately she is sooo into making up and we ended up as her victims for trial. Well, not much comments since I am a noob in make up =) Don't usually make up unless I NEED TO PROVE THAT I'M 20 YEARS OLD like when I go club once in a while or REQUIRED when I was working. LOL

Best friends since Std 4.. really love you dear!

Both of us have chosen our paths though we know by choosing them we are choosing to suffer more. But what can we do? This is already the very most can do... sorry dear that I passed my emo-ness to you haha. Maybe we can do the buddy chatting session more often =)

Going back Penang on Thursday. Glad that at least now I can smile more because I do not want my parents to worry too much. Mum was already suspecting something when I went back the other day before uni started. Anyway, CNY coming must smile more so that I'll be lucky right? Hehe gloomy CNY will only make my year 2009 gloomy.

I am really looking forward to go back because finally my room is painted in BLUE! Wohooo~!!! Blue walls, blue door, blue coffee table, blue mat, blue bed sheet... haha. Was thinking about buying 1 of those blue star-shaped wall lamps at IKEA. Then maybe buy some of those glow-in-the-dark seashells plastic stickers. I changed the layout of my room too. Hehe will definitely upload those pictures. I LOVE BLUE!!!!!! =)

Alright gotta chao soon. Need to go uni earlier to jaga booth. Tomorrow evening having a badminton appointment with 'xia xiang' friends. I wish that tomorrow will be a better day.

Finally, I am looking forward to somethings. A good sign huh?

你,还好吗?

WOHOOO~~!!!

Well, I am kinda back to my ownself already. At least, I have come to a decision. What I said last time will still continue on (I still have faith), just that hmmm.... maybe we need space and well we still need to live on. Thanks people for being there all this while.

My dear roommates, sorry for bothering you all these days and thanks for crying with me =) You all are so good. MUACKS!! A super big kiss for you two. And my dear darling Chian, it is great to have a chatting session with you today. I guess you just saved my life! LOVE you too my dear!!

Well just now was a real surprise for me. When someone rang the bell of my house I thought it was Li Pei's friend or what. But when I opened my door, I saw my two lil god brothers and Wai Soon. I was like OMG why are you guys here??!! Haha... was totally happy to see them.

And YOU, I am so sorry that I created so much mess these days. I am seriously SORRY! Please forgive me will you? Thank you!

Thank you everyone!!!! And 1 more good news, I DON'T HAVE CLASS tomorrow wohooo!!!

Celebration - Ice Breaking Team

Today is Friday. To think that there is another class at 11.30am tomorrow just makes me lazy. Why? Why there is a Saturday class?!

Had a meeting about Fashion Night this morning. So because of Miss Sum's objection, our chairlady has come out with another concept regarding this fashion night. It is proposed to be held on 7th of March (week 8). Anybody interested? Well, further promotion for this event will be done soon. So keep an eye for it ya =)

I just came back from Ice Breaking Team celebration at the KFC beside Carrefour. There is this sort of tradition whereby after every event, there will be a celebration, eventhough that event may not be very successful. Well, it is a dinner of appreciation for the committee members.

This sem's Ice Breaking may not have run smoothly, but at least in the end things were in control. Being a chairperson, I have learnt a lot from that. I am so sorry my dear committee members if I have not done a good job, which I think I have not. I am a newbie in Ice Breaking Team, but thanks to those who were experienced in it for teaching me lots of things. Without my vice chairman - Kai Shen, I think things will be in a mess. Thank god he is such a good and helpful person and has really assisted me well. Thank you to you, and thank you to the rest of you. You guys have worked hard, planned hard, played hard and performed well. I am indeed very happy to know you all and be friends and teammates. =)

And of course, I would like to thank our dear officer - Mr Alvin!!! Wow, he is such a nice person! He reminds me of Mr Tong, the officer before him. Anyway, Mr Alvin really helped us a lot. Besides providing advice and opinions, he also helped us to put up the banner (seeing that me and Shyuan so small sized), lent us extension wire, fetched us around and tried to attend every meeting of ours. I am most touched that he always insisted to join us for meeting because not every officer or advisor is so keen as him. So, thank you sir!

Take 1 - Everybody still quite serious

Back from left: Kai Shen, Kheng Hooi, Zhi Hong, Mr Alvin, Kok Sheng
Front from left: Fern Fern, Me, Shyuan (we're traffic lights!)

Take 2 - Mr Alvin, what are u doing? =)

Take 3 - Everybody's smiling so happily!

I ♥ this lighting =)

p/s: Too bad both of our secretaries went back early. Never mind, Winnie and Hsiao Ying we take another picture next time ya!

Well, no matter how the event was, we all learnt something from this event and made new friends. Finally, Kai Shen remembers my name and there won't be anymore times when he calls and asks, "Erm, what's your name again?" =_=''

Thank you everyone!

4th day in Y2S2

Remember that I said I have an 8am MORAL class today?

Well, guess what time I woke up?

7.40am!

When I saw the time, I was instantly awake. I thought, SHIT! So late already!

I turned over and realized that Shyuan was still sleeping soundly so I yelled at her, "Shyuan, 7.40am d!!!!!" She instantly jerked up, woke our beloved roommate Fern Fern up (she had 8.30am class) and rushed to the toilet. So, all of us woke up late today =_='

We thought we were going to be late and were rushing like hell. We did not even bathe and just simply pulled a shirt on and got out. Kuak and Tze Yu were already waiting for us outside. Then, when I was wearing my shoes, Shyuan read an sms and said, "Wei, Jason said the class is cancelled." =_='!!

After all that rushing, we were told that the class was cancelled. I was still so blur and half sleepy at that moment and could not even respond to that. How could something so sweat happen early in the morning?!

Anyway, since we have gotten ready, Kuak suggested to have breakfast and Tze Yu wanted to go McD. Fine, so we ended up at MU McD ordering 4 breakfast sets.

My Sausage McMuffin with Egg.
[pic grabbed from www.mcdonalds.com]

When we started to eat, Kok Sheng called Shyuan and said that the class that should be cancelled was for the 4pm MORAL class NOT ours, and the lecturer has walked in.

=_='''!!! again...........

We were like, " WTF??? So, now is there any class???"

In the end after this chaos, it was confirmed that there was NO class. LOL..... Do not understand HOW DID THE LECTURER WALK IN when there was no class? Anyway, we enjoyed our breakfast, watched college basketball competition on ESPN for a while and went home. About 10.30am we went uni again to attend an hour of lecuture.

Today was my first time really paying attention in Circuits and Systems lecture. Well, nothing new since those that he taught today were basically about Superpostion, Thevenin's Theorem and Norton's Theorem, which we have studied last semester.

For dinner, I went for a buffet steamboat at Neo Steamboat, Metroview with my classmates and some of their housemates. Altogether I think should be 23 people, occupying 2 large and 1 small tables. Very meriah huh? =)

Well, the soup was not very nice but the food was ok. Chit chatted a bit and took photos. This is our first gathering for this sem, quite looking forward to the next one (but not so fast I hope because my money is so tight right now!).

My table. Ah Kong, why are you showing us your MUSCLE?!

We, the 3 girls will forever be the victims of the bullies in our class =(

Wohoo! Group picture!

Finally finished watching Miss No Good 不良笑花. Very funny, you should watch if you haven't. Not a very new movie but if you like to laugh while watching movie, try this one =) Below is the soundtrack:

I hope, tomorrow onwards things will get better.

Sleepless

I can't sleep... Though I made myself busy today by watching movie whole day long, but once I stopped, my mind would just wander off. Memories are planted so deeply in my heart, so deep that I cannot remove them. Even if they can be removed, I guess I choose not to do so because the memories are so valuable, so memorable...

This is such a tough process, I wish that it is just a lie. It took me such a long time, such a painful experience to learn my lesson.

Try and listen to the song attached below. He is a new singer from Singapore. This song reflects so much about me right now....

No comments are allowed for this post. Thanks. Hopefully, I can get some sleep as I have an 8am class - MORAL =_=''

Wake up call

Finally, it is time for me to move on. There are so many sweet memories that I must leave behind. It is a sad case that things should be ended, just like this.

It was me who created this mess which landed me in this shitty state. Never been so serious about a relationship, never. Yet, this is the end already. I am seriously so blank right now. I do not know what to do, what to think, how to move on.......

FRIEND is such a strange word to use for you, because I have never thought you as a friend. Seems like now I have to learn how to be friends with you *sweat smile* Never mind, I have confidence in myself and I know I will be good at it =)

Feelings can just simply go off huh? Is it true? Maybe yes, maybe no. I do not want to know yes or not. Just let time prove the truth to us. But I am most glad that at least we are still friends, not ending up like a bulk of shit and avoiding each other. That would be such a cruel thing to face, wouldn't it?

Now it is REALLY a new start for me. I realize that I still have so many things to learn in my life, and for the past 12 days, I have learnt so much things, understood so many reasons....... and I hope 1 day I can prove it to YOU haha.

Alright, enough of this sad stuff. It was so unlike me for the past few weeks, but well, maybe that was just another side of me, a side that even he has not noticed before. I hope that this year, everything will be fine. I really do not wish to face any stupid saddening things. I just cannot handle anything of this sort anymore......

Uni started today and it was like just HALF an HOUR class (which should be 2 hrs). Well, predictable anyway because it was the first lecture so most of the time the lecturer will just crap about some basic information and let the students off. This semester will be quite hectic, 5 subjects and even have a stupid Saturday class until 2pm. We, Mechatronics students will forever be the victims of Saturday classes...... forever... ever since the 1st semester. God damn it!!!!

Life still goes on Sherril.... be tough!!

Goodbye year 2008!

This will be the final post for this year. After that it will be a brand new year for me!

I sort of thinking to blog something random, just for the sake of posting something final here haha.

I experienced so many FIRST times and to think back, I really love them =)

This year was the 1st time I attended Jay Chou's concert in Stadium Merdeka. It was like a dream come true! I was so thrilled, so touched and I nearly cried when I saw him coming out from stage, because I yearned to see him since form 1 and this year was the very 1st time I saw him live in person!!!! He was awesome and his concert was superb! OMG! I wanna see him live again!

Me with the precious ticket

Then I also went to The Click Five's concert in Genting. Though not many people went but their concert certainly rocks! My very first visit to a live English concert =) They were great!

The Click Five

I heart their concert =)

Other first times are like learnt to play guitar, dined in Chilli's and TGI Fridays, attended a reality show "So You Think You Can Dance" and involving myself in Festival and Orientation programs like Welcome Freshmen Concert and Ice Breaking.

"So You Think You Can Dance"

Besides, I have went to many places under Traveler's Den. First was FRIM, followed by Gua Tempurung, Pulau Redang, Pulau Perhentian & Lang Tengah, Taman Negara, National Bird Park and visited Malaysia International Fireworks Competition (MIFC) for the 2nd time in Putrajaya.

As for Community Service Society (CSS), I joined a trip to SPCA and gosh those lil animals were so cute. Wish I could own one of them =)

This is my 1st time meeting Kelvin =)

My favourite in SPCA - Dora!!

Then of course, the Langkawi Project (浮罗交怡计划 - 社区服务团) was also 1 of the activities under CSS and had no regrets joining it. Gained lots of experiences, met and made friends with other campuses students and also had 2 new foster families. If you wish to join, there's an intake next year. Please don't miss it!!

We're a HAPPY family!!!

Worked as a Sensodyne promoter in TESCO. Made another bunch of new friends and experienced working life in a hypermarket =)

Well, like I said time really flies. My besties have graduated. Vivi is the 1st one to step out and work as a real graphic designer. Soo Yee has graduated in Hotel Management and wish to further her studies. Mei Fern graduated from diploma and is continuing her course in TARC. I will be the last one to graduate among them..... haih

Soo Yee's graduation

Reading the big card given by her AB family

Crying... because it was soo touching =)

I would say, this year is a busy year for me, but I really enjoyed it. I feel that life in uni and college must be full of memories because once we step out to work, life will be very different. While we can enjoy while learning, we must grab the chance to do so. Enjoy to the max people!!

What I am really satisfied and happy about is that my friendship with my besties and sisters is getting stronger day by day. We might not get to meet always, but our hearts are always together. Girls, you guys rock!! I love you all!!!

BESTIES forever babes!!!

Some of TOU members

11 years of friendship

LOVE you my dear!

But there is something missing that makes year 2008 incomplete for me. It has been a long time since we whole family (including my brother who's in Brisbane) went for a vacation. Though I went China with my dad and mom last year, but my bro was not with us. I kinda miss him =( I really hope that he can come back next year!

Alright, now it's time for me to make my new year resolutions. I will make sure that I reach my target =) Goodbye year 2008! And people, let's welcome year 2009!!!!!!

Here I come year 2009!!!!!

RED and BLUE pendant

RED and BLUE pendants

Once, these 2 pieces of pendants were meant to be together. They fitted so nicely, so beautifully and was the only pair of pendant of this sort in the world.

But somehow, after some complications, they could not seem to fit into each other again. They tried every single way to fit in, but in the end what they gained were scratches all over their bodies due to misplacement of angles.

How could this happen?

Well, maybe the RED one has grown out of shape without realizing. It was under the sun all is while. Some of the edges melted due to the heat and could not be mended again. This happened because it was its first time experience as a pendant and did not know that excessive exposure under the sun could distort it.

But it may be the other way round.

The BLUE one has always liked to stay in cool places because it wanted to remain its shape nicely. However, the moment it met the BLUE one, somehow it was tempted to follow it to go under the sun more often. Without realizing, the temperature has started to change its shape bit by bit. But it did not mind at all. It knew that now it enjoys being under the sun.

However, the RED one did not notice these minor changes.

Whenever the BLUE one went to cooler places for some shade, the RED one was quite unhappy with it. It always told the BLUE one, "Don't go into the shades too often. You never know what FIERCE animals are hiding behind them. "

But how could the BLUE one do that?

The cool places were shades that it was used to and had grown up in them. How could it leave them behind just like this?? There was a special bond between it and the places and it was very fond of them.

So both of them started to argue about this matter, over and over again. Each time, no solution was made and therefore the argument went on and on.

Maybe it was because of the endless arguments. Maybe it was tired of arguing about the same thing over and over again.

The BLUE one realised that it must try to mend things back before it is too late. Unfortunately, they found out that they could no longer fit into each other.

Complications happened

So, which party should they put the blame on?

The BLUE one? For keep going back to the shady places?

The RED one? For always being under the sun?
.
.
.
.

They should not blame anyone.

They should try to sort things out in order to be a perfect pair of pendant again.

But this needs time, and I hope the day will come where they can fit into each other again.

I hope so.
