Singapore Blogsphere and Malaysia Political Atmosphere

Wow, lately been doing some research on current Singapore blogsphere as well as current Malaysia political atmosphere.

Am never been interested in politics, but ever since the last major election in March, issues of the dirty-minded politicians have drawn my attention. Sadly indeed, these dramatic plays are for real.

Remember the Immigrant case??!!

He made racist remarks and was suspended for 3 years but Raja Petra Kamarudin, founder of Malaysia Today, Sin Chew Daily reporter Tan Hoon Cheng and DAP Seputeh's MP Teresa Kok were detained by ISA. Why?? Visit The Star Online for more info. Anyway, go to Kenny Sia's Chinese Squatter and Ah Mad Strikes Back posts. His comics are funny =)

In history, we were asked and taught to LOVE our country, and taught us to be Bangsa Malaysia. Today I just had my Pengajian Malaysia paper. Needless to say, I did badly. I remember answering the last question :

"Terangkan 4 langkah yang boleh mewujudkan Bangsa Malaysia."

Well, I crapped stuffs in it. I crapped things that I personally feel unsatisfied in it. What to do? We are taught to write these kind of answers. =_='' In your mind, how to form Bangsa Malaysia?

I remember reading the 13 May 1969 incident. This is what was written in the lecture notes that were handed out to us:

".....ketidakseimbangan ekonomi juga antara penyebab peristiwa 13 Mei. Orang Melayu merasa bimbang dan tidak selamat terhadap jurang perbezaan antara mereka dan bukan Melayu terutama dalam pendidikan dan ekonomi."

We are always reminded not to talk and raise any issue about this incident, and yea we DID NOT utter a word about it. But who raised it first after so many years? Who threatened us with this incident??!! And was that really the reason for this incident to happen? Read these links for detailed information regarding this incident: Malaysia Today, Wikipedia.

Alright enough of those. I'm sure avid bloggers are aware of what happened in Singapore blogsphere :

The catfight betwteen 2 Singaporean celebrity bloggers - Xia Xue and Dawn Yang.

While searching the net for more information about the thruth, I came across this blog, http://simonseow.blogspot.com. He posted the screen shots of the DELETED entry post by Xia Xue regarding the Dawn Yang thingy. This entry post created a controversy and Dawn Yang took action to sue Xia Xue by sending Xia Xue a lawyer letter (22 July 2008 enrty). But well, the case is closed already. If you happen to be like me, missed out this particular post and wanted to see how controversial it is, then you can read it in Simon's blog =)

Frankly, I'm not a fan of either of them, but if I have to stand by one side, that'll definitely be Xia Xue! Wahaha... she may not be as pretty as Dawn Yang, but at least she admits the truth and does not deny her plastic surgeries or fake her heritage. (though well, she might be rude at times) If you were to compare the 2 blogs, I would say Xia Xue's blog provides more info, rather than just photos =) Here's the pictures from their blogs.

~ Dawn Yang ~

A Christian girl who parties a few nights in a week and
self-claimed that Edison Chen woo-ed her through her MSN.
She said she's a conservative girl and denied having undergone
several plastic surgeries.

VS

~ Xia Xue
~

A girl who dares to voice out and write controversial articles.
Doesn't like to be compared to Dawn Yang and has
uploaded the processes of her undergoing plastic surgeries.

Seems that there are many Dawn Yang haters out there and they even created several hate sites of her. Well, I admit I'm kaypo and has nothing better to do than studying for exam. So Fern and I found these few sites quite startling. Visit them if you think you are as free as us wahaha.

Alright till here. I have 2 more subjects to go before my holiday officially starts!

Plastic Surgeries became so common nowadays...not a good thing. I thought both of these bloggers are born pretty, but now I'm disappointed ><

Simon:
haha she is indeed popular.. especially after the lawsuit thing..

James:
Haha, actually I would say Dawn Yang looked not bad back then when she was still 17 18 years old. I prefer the not-so-plastic Dawn. Back then she was sort of cute =) Now aiks, too fake.

Good...

I'd actually quite impressed with RPK..

You know what? before the General elections of 08March08, RPK predicted that
"BN in Penang,Kedah,Kelantan SURE fall into Pakatan rakyat"... already sounds impossible before the election lo... he some more said "Winning in Perak and Selangor would be a bonus to PR". Wow... that time i thought that he was very special, very brave to have sound that statement!

currently PR is governing those more economically and socially advanced state (except for perak... BN ppl virtually forced PR out) such as PP, S'ngor, except only for JOHOR.

'Bangsa' is actually quite racist term, i think, as it means race. By using the word bangsa, one is considering race or skin color over personal thoughts or ideology. Why is the gov trying to 'melt' us into one 'race' whilst the Malays consists of only 50.4% of malaysian population according to CIA WorldFactBook. If you talk to modern malays, alot of them don't care about race, and said there is no pure malay. Some even said that their grandfather Javanese, grandmother chinese,.. in one word, mixed.

Actually we are more like Switzerland>> French, Italian, German, English speaking people all live in PEACE. I really hope that the gov will soon 'wake up from racist dreams' and model our country based on Switzerland or the nearer Singapore.

Seldom see girls interested in RPK though..

513. what RPK said was... actually a plot of 'A' while 'R' was taking vacation...

due to the bloodiness of 'A' in getting power, 'A' dies in sufferings, for his bloody deeds.

what is A and what is R, you can guess thru RAHMAN.

So sad, for now RPK in this state. Seldom you'll see man like him, with royal background, dare to say so many things.
