HOHOHO!!!

haha.. feel so great right now! Been without internet connection for the past half year and finally.... *BOOM* here i am with Streamyx!!! =) Everyone in B-6-7 is so happy right now!!!

Felt that this semester life will be hectic like I was in F4. Been busy with society stuff since end of Dec 2007. We went to FRIM on 20th Jan 2008 n I was the treasurer. Baby Ong was the chairman...(Chin Hong.. u know who is Baby Ong?) Then last Sunday I went to SPCA with Community Service Society (CSS). It was nice to see the animals.. I will upload all the photos.. no worries!

Currently busy with the upcoming biggest event in Traveler's Den, which is organizing a trip to Redang, Lang Tengah n Perhentian 3 days 2 nights. DOn't think May is still a long way to go.. we have to book before Matta Fair and now I'm still not ready with budget and proposal.. Haihz... anyone out there who knows any agents???

Btw, if anyone from UTAR FES is interested in this trip, u can visit our booth at canteen and write down your name. Further details will be available for u there. And oh yeah, on 16th Feb (after CNY that Sat), Traveler's Den is organising a trip to Gua Tempurung - RM30 for member and RM 35 for non-member. Interested students can visit our booth too.. Thank you!

Now with internet connection I sudah tak sabar sabar wanna online to upload pics and update this update that... the best thing is i can chat with my friends d. Anyway... just to inform all of u, I will only go back to PG on 5th Feb nite and come back to KL on 10th Feb morning. Don't ask me why so rush, it's because I'm currently not having sem break so have to rush back for classes. UTAR sucks huh? HAha....

R.I.P. my dear hamster aka Sei Jiak

It was a bad start for today. I woke up early because we - me, shyuan and baby ong were going for a swim in the pool. Once I've put on my swimsuit, I went into the living room, planning to drink my cup of milk. At that moment, I felt the urge to feed the hamsters (mine = sei jiak, shyuan's = dua jiak). But on second thought, I told myself that I would feed them before going out for swim. So I sat down, stirring my milk while waiting for baby ong to reach.

Once baby ong arrived with shyuan (coz Baby Ong is not the resident of our apartment), she took a look at the hamsters. Suddenly shyuan shouted, "Eh, why there's blood?" I was puzzled as well as worried. When I reached the cage, I was shocked to see blood at the tail n backside.... negative thoughts flooded my mind. Maybe I was too shocked till I didnt realize the injured hamster was actually my Sei Jiak. When shyuan said,"How come Sei Jiak become like this?" only then I realised... My SEI JIAK!!!!!! =( Instantly, tears dropped down. It was only with me for about 5 months... and now, it's gone!!!! I dunno what happened but Li Pei said she heard noises from the hamsters last night. Should have fought furiously......

There were happy moments with it. Last time it used to be smaller size than Dua Jiak and that was how these two hamsters got their names. But now it has become stronger and bigger... and it's very active. Every now and then you can hear it exercising with the roller. Last nite when I came home from dinner, I still sang Jay Chou's song to it...I knew it love the song because it stayed near the fence to listen to me.....How saddening now it's gone... I've buried it at 5th floor's garden without the guard noticing. Hope that it will rest in peace. Those who saw and played with Sei Jiak before, hope that you all will pray for it. RIP sei jiak!

A Quick Update

Friends been nagging me to update my blog. Haha yeah sorry peeps I'm just too lazy to blog nowadays. I mean, my daily routine is the same everyday - working n sleeping. It's just that there's nothing special for me to blog. Anyway, promised Chin Hong I will do it today, so I'm here to start blogging again. Thanks to him!=)

This semester break is indeed a memorable one. Well, it's pretty boring for me to work everyday (except when I was on MC for 9 days n went China for vacation for 1 week) but in my working experience, I learnt a lot. For this 3 months break, I've worked 3 different jobs, 2 related to engineering field, 1 related to sales n persuasion.

1 Oct - 15 Nov = Working in Tejari (Juru) as a trainee. Learnt Solid Works n G code.
20 Nov - 15 Dec = Working in IDT (opposite AMD) as trainee. Learnt to repair machines.
7 Dec - 9 Dec = Working in KL PC Fair (Acer booth). Learnt to persuade customers .

I stopped working in Tejari because of the pay n the distance. Then I applied for IDT but my salary was worse, only RM250 per month. Well, forget about it hehe since I learnt alot here compare to Tejari. In IDT, I learnt to repair machines, learnt how do the machines function etc.

Anyway, among the 3 jobs, I enjoyed working in PC fair the most! Haha I know you all will say I'm crazy but seriously, I loved it because I made many friends regardless of whether I hit the target of sales or not. The feeling was like I went for a 3-day camp. Everyone tried their best to sell as many notebooks n PC's in order to hit target, but at the end of the day, eventhough we know we couldnt hit the target, we were all still happy. We were all divided into 15 groups - 4 part-timers n 1 permanent staff. My group leader was William while my groupmates were Ah Hau (MMU), Kazaf(Tarc), Charles(Tarc) n ME(UTAR). I love my group, but too bad Charles was sick n went home on the last day. Anyway... all part-timers, I'm sure you all remember Abby(the prettiest part-timer). She proposed that for those who didn't hit target, we can also organise a gathering on 30th Dec since those hitting target will have their own party. So i hope this works well!!

Btw, just knew Pei Kee and Ah Loon together for 5 months d. CONGRATS!!! Then now it comes to Joshua (a newly-made friend who was my PC fair customer).... if u happen to meet me online, please show me your gf's pic k? Hehe.. I can imagine how pretty is she d.. all the best too!!!

Spinal Disc Herniation

Spinal Disc Herniation (commonly miscalled as "slipped disc")

Hmm... a night in hospital is not as bad and scary as I thought, though I feel very tired after I came home. Well, no worries my friends and family because there's nothing serious about my health.

Now I know what does MRI stand for (actually I should have remembered haha) MRI = Magnetic Resonance Imaging. Do you remember seeing in the movies that patients are being placed on a bed and pushed into a cylinder tube to do scanning for about 20 minutes? Well, BINGO.. that's MRI scan. I was asked not to move within the 20 minutes so all I could do was sleep. Once in a while there's noisy sound so I need to wear headphones.

Haha the funny part was, before I went down for the MRI Scan, I was asked to change into a green clothing. (Those you see doctors wearing while operating patients) Next, the nurse instructed me to sit on a wheelchair and she pushed me slowly to the lab. Wah.. when I pushed myself, it seemed so hard to coordinate. Even when my mum pushed me back to my ward after my scan, she was amazed to find that the wheelchair is actually not light! Btw, it's not that I couldn't walk or lazy.. I sat on the wheelchair because that's a procedure and for my "privacy" purpose. You will know why when you experience it. *choi*!!!

Basically, my problem is as following:
At my lumber spine, there's 1 bone which went out of position (moved not much i think). So this position eventually presses on my nerve. As a result, my nerve is now swollen which causes pain and numbness to my left leg. The word to describe this situation is - Spinal Disc Herniation (commonly known as slipped disc). Check this website out and you will understand what is happening to me...

For the time being, I need to do physiotherapy to build my leg muscle. This will ensure that the muscle can support my nerve and the bone will not move further than its current position. Haih...no more heavy sports for me =(

After 4 Months

Finally I'm back to blogging! Well, don't blame me please!!!! It's not my fault, but it's Telekom's fault. We applied for telephone line since I started my first semester in FES. But but but.. after waited and waited, they're still not here when I've actually completed my first sem!

Back in Penang is good...at least I get to eat good food and most importantly, I DON'T have to spend so much of food!! Haha... I looked into my account book and realized that wow.. I actually spent so little! YES! Haha... then I would have money to go to Singapore with my friends this year end (if they are still keen on going).

But the sad part is - I have to work from Monday to Friday from 9am-530pm. Even Saturday I'm working half day from 9am to 1pm :( Well, I'm actually tired because I'm working in Perai (or they call Juru).. Imagine, everyday I have to pass by Penang Bridge and get stuck in the jam.. LOLZ.. I would say Friday is the worst day.. stuck in jam for 2 hrs! :( However, I'm still happy working there as a trainee. Currently I'm learning SolidWorks - a high end CAD software which is best used esp for 3D drawing. Btw, now only I know that AutoCAD is OUTDATED!!! Haha.. but still usable for 2D drawing.

Went to Lam Wah Yee hospital this morning.. that's why I'm not working right now because I'm on MC. Well.. later in the afternoon I'm going back there to get admitted in order to do the MRI scan (what the hell is MRI? Later I must ask the doctor) No worries... should be nth serious, which I hope so :) Guess there's sth wrong with my nerve which is connected to my back (that's when Biology knowledge is applied) Well well... Hope that my stupid left leg won't affect my vacation in China in the end of this month. If not... haih... I will sulk all my way there and back!

Till here... well, an exciting and enjoyable weekend is waiting for ahead! The raya holiday is actually located for my BIRTHDAY!!! Haha.. I know.. you all will say, "Har? I didn't hear anything... 我什么都没听到！！！" :) Take care my friends... and I miss all of you in KL!!!! Enjoy your 3 months break!

First Post After I Came Back

Couldn't go online since I came back to Setapak. NO INTERNET connection... *sob* We applied for a tel. line but since the ports are full, we have to wait.. So for the time being, I can only go online in my uni - UTAR

Haha... for the 1st time, I didnt complain so much like I used to when I was in PJ campus. Of course, I am quite satisfied with my campus in Setapak - Faculty of Engineering and Science (FES). It's neither too big nor too small... When I was in PJ, the campus is actually smaller than my secondary high scl *sigh* so we NEEDN'T walk too much. Therefore when I reached here.. wah at first I grumbled,"Big also tiresome... need to walk a distance to reach a destination..." But now.. haha sudah biasa!

Besides that, I like my new house too! Haha.. last time my hostel MC is just like a hotel room size. Compared to that, my new hse is actually a house!! Haha.. precisely, it's an apartment with security system, swimming pool, gym and so on. What's so nice about it then? Because this apartment is still new, probably opened 3 months ago. Moreover, all around me are my friends.. either UTAR friends or TARC friends... WOW...it's GREAT~!!!! One more thing... there are LOTS of FOOD and shops in this area within walking distance. Unlike the stupid lousy yet expensive MC, it's way more convenient and better here. Alex (Kim Ming) came last week to visit his friends and he told me,"It's a paradise!!!!!" =)

What about my class? Well, I'm in Mechatronics Engineering course and I found out that.. out of 40 sth students, there are only 6 girls including me! 4 of them were from Foundation, 1 is my senior and the other one I don't know. I'm in Group 2, quite nice.. made some new friends.. quite funny.. but well.. first impression la. Went to lab and did some statics experiment which was hard to understand... did some CAD exercises but damn, the lecturer is not good enouugh and yea, Assignment 1 was given yesterday (but now it's only week 2!)... and we have to hand in in 1 week's time.. LOL!!!! I will be studying CAD for 7 weeks and there will be 3 assignments and 2 tests.. BTW, CAD & Programming does not appear in final exam as it is all based on courswork.. hehe..for Thermodynamics it will be an open-book test in the final exam which means - it is EXTREMELY HARD!!

Well, basically I'm still satisfied for the time being. However, when I think of going out.. I will miss PJ because Setapak is quite out of the way. Nvm Nvm... I will get used to it. Guess I will stop here as I have to attend Statics lecture.. if any of you plan to come and visit me, my hse definitely has room to squeeze you in.. so you're welcome~!!!

3rd Last Day in Penang

Yesterday was quite an enjoyable day.. though I didn't go out for the entire day like the past few weeks. ..

Had lunch with cutie Daniel, who looked more grown up compared to his last year's photo. Haha of course so because now his hair has grown longer and I can pull his hair d. Last time even a single pat on his head also cannot. It actually felt much more like massaging my palm as he was BOTAK at that time haha. Anyway, was quite happy because I saw that he maintained the wallet I gave him during his 17th birthday this year. Still as new as ever... but damn him, he wanted me to buy one again when I go back to KL.... *sigh*

Then I met a friend whom I have not seen since my Foundation's 1st semester break - Won Jiun. Had dinner with her at Breeks in Queensbay and I quite like my baked pasta. Bought her 2 cute tiny cakes (or maybe they're pudding?) and we talked a lot. Coincidently, I met Swee Ying who is also a friend that I havent met for a long time.. wahaha... at that moment, I felt that the world is really really small.. Don't u think so?

After that, went to find my "chao gui" didi.. LOL.. he didn't tell me that he's having test on the following day. But well for the 1st time, I saw that he really wanted to do well in exams... I felt so happy... as usual, he's still part time student, full time breaker haha... hope he and his crews can achieve more in the upcoming competitions. I felt that he has grown up too in many ways... guess I can finally put down some of my worries hehe..the best part is - I get to kidnap my "chao chao" (a pillow) back from his room... need to wash for him la since he's a pig who's so lazy wakaka... well here's a pic of my didi......

Stubborn? True to Myself?

After talking to one of my best friend this morning, I felt slightly better. Have known my friend for 13 years and have been close to him since we were in Form 3... Guess he's still 1 of the them who know me very very well...

All this while, I've been following my own principles though I know, I've actually put aside some because my thinking has changed slightly. However, to some people, what I'm doing or what I've done is not favorable/might hurt their feelings...

I truly understand that we would never want to hurt people who we love and care the most. Should we change our behavior/attitude just because we want to satisfy/make them happy? Well, if you would ask me this question when I was still in my secondary years, I would definitely have answered "NO". Somehow, as I grow up, my thinking has changed. Of course, those bad behaviors and attitudes should be changed. But what about those that we feel that are ok or normal?? Guess this is the perspective problem.. everyone views things differently. At this point, sometimes compromising can't be useful at all.... Those who experienced this kind of feeling will surely understand.

I'm not grumbling or not willing to change myself...but I feel that that's ME... MYSELF!! Undeniably, I've actually changed a lot throughout this 1 n a half years... been changing without realizing myself and I'm actually stunned. However, I can't change every part of me, can I? Because those parts actually make up who am I... So confused right now.. Am I being stubborn? Or I just want to be who am I?

Happy or Unfortunate Day?

Today -1st of May 2007- is supposed to be a great day for me. Went to get back my dad's car and actually made it to meet my dear friends -Vivian (Vivi), Mei Fern (Fern), Mung (''papa") & Dominic (Dom).... Been a long time since I last met them. Moreover, papa and dom are going back tonight to MMU in Malacca because they will be having lab test on Thursday.

We first went to fetch Ah Hau from Pacific as we wanted to go to Auto-City for lunch. Haha...it was my first trip to Auto-City although I'm a pure Penangite. *LOL* Anyway, we went Roxbury Food Centre to eat. The food was quite nice.... but VERY FEELING!!!! It was a nice meal for me because we got to catch up each other's news as well as latest happenings around Penang and other friends... As you know, our Vivi is one of the BEST news channel among us =)

Then we visited the surrounding shops. Like the name "Auto-City" tells you, there are many many car shops around which include: Naza World, Porsche, KIA, Audi etc.... WOW, the cars were so fantasic... how I wish I could own one of them!!!! *haha in my dreams of course* After that we walked around and stopped at Swensens because Vivi wanted to eat ice-cream. See la how good we were.. what she wanted we would listen to her haha maybe because her bf was around. Had fun in Swensens because we talked and joked a lot. The most important thing is that WE TOOK PHOTOS Too bad I forgot my usual task -to bring along my digital cam- but with the advanced tech, my cell phone's photo quality is considered good d loooo....

Since papa and dom wanted to watch movie, we planned to go Queensbay to watch. But god damn it... I could not start my stupid Waja!!! Was so worried and panic but luckily papa they all were there to accompany me. I waited for my dad to come with his mechanic friend. Haha guess what was wrong with my car?? The carburator was giving me problems... damn it~!!!! To worsen my mood, I got stuck in the Penang Bridge toll for half and hour and quarrelled with my dad... because he thought he has the best driving skills~!!!! LOL... KEK KI NIA

Despite a close accident with papa's car and my car problem, actually I'm very happy today because I get to meet papa and dom dom finally.... and of course vivi and fern hehe... they are my great friends.. really great friends... too bad when papa and dom finished their finals, I'm already back in Setapak. =(

OKOK... I'll stop here.. I just wanna announce a few things :
1. I'M BACK IN PG ALREADY!! but currently no transport yet because Waja was sent for repairing.

2. Wei Dee, u better do well in this saturday paper.. because u missed today's gathering because of your last paper!!

3. papa and dom... all da best to you guys!!

4. JQ, I hope you will be successful o!! Haha become more matured? I think 4 years back you were already matured.... =)
