About Working Life and So-called "Supervisor"

It's now already past 12 midnight, meaning now it's 24th of November.

HAPPY 2oth BIRTHDAY, CHIN HONG!!!!

Haha yeah it's his birthday but could not manage to call him because he was too busy with wishes from his other friends.

Anyway, may all your birthday wishes come true, Chin Hong. I sincerely hope that from now onwards you'll always be happy. And to let you know, you've been a great friend, and is still a great friend =) Thanks for everything~!

Today will be the 12th day of my work, which was scheduled as a 14-day project. That means there are 2 more days to go! YAHOO!!!!

Well, currently I'm a promoter for a product and I've started work since 13th of Nov. I've been working non-stop since then. So after Wednesday, I'll have freedom again!!! =)

Well, at first I was kinda reluctant to go to work though the pay was a bit attractive. The reason was because, Kevin (Chi Hwa), who was supposed to work with me told me that he could not work for this project anymore as he just had braces on.

I was like, "WHAT? When on earth did you have braces on?? And why did you have it on RIGHT BEFORE the project?! Why must you leave me alone with SOMEONE?" *sob*

So, SOMEONE would be taking over his place. At the thought of SOMEONE, I started to get worried. I was scared that this person, my so-called "supervisor" might be very strict, serious and we might not have topics to chat and that would make the 14-day project damn boring.

The first day I saw that SOMEONE I felt that he LOOKED LIKE a pro. Gosh, I was getting more nervous. He seemed so responsible, so strict until I did not dare to do crazy things like I usually do. What I could do was to listen and follow everything that he said. The rest of the time I just kept quiet, though at times I was too curious so I asked him a few questions.

Well, this SOMEONE, whose name is Benny - 贝尼 or 贝妮 (given by me haha) turned out to be someone super nice, friendly, crazy and talkative like me. WHOA!!! It's too good to be true! Seriously working with him is so much fun, and I also had the chance to learn a little bit of marketing skills.

He's a UTAR Kampar Marketing student and is also my junior haha. You know, I've never seen such a guy like him before who is always so conscious about slimming down (though he's already slim) and his daily calories and nutrient intake counts. Ask him how much protein must we consume a day or how to eat at the cheapest way, he for sure can give you a very satisfied answer. =)

The best thing I like about him while working with him for this long is that he never simply use his "supervisor" power to scold or order to do stuffs. Though of course, when I did any mistake, he would tell me in a quite strict manner.

Anyway, he told me a lot about his family, good friends, weird classmates, weird neighbours,university, past relationships, current target, opinions and thoughts, gossips etc etc. And I don't know why we were always laughing madly. At times I just could not control myself and laughed like a mad woman. I hope that noone complained about us and noone will complain us for the remaining 3 days.

Working on weekends is more fun than working on weekdays because on weekends, there are many promoters promoting various kind of products. I made many new friends and they are all very nice and friendly people.

As for weekdays, there are only both of us and a few aunties, and the crowd is so much smaller compared to the crowd in weekends. So the only thing source of entertainment is from ourselves, by cracking and stupid jokes and crapping some silly stuffs. Luckily sometimes Kevin came to find us or I met my old friends and uni friends. But of course we must be serious also because we are required to hit target sales.

Well Benny, if you happen see this post don't think that I've climbed over your head ya. I just want to let you know HOW NICE ARE YOU haha. Thanks for not bullying me except for saying me short. LOL

The next post I'll tell you about the customers that we've met. But that'll be after my final day of working.

Hmm.... still not sleepy but I got to wake up early. Hope that tomorrow the sales can be mantained at the normal range.

Actually I've fallen asleep way before 11pm but suddenly woke up at 4 something. Finally I've made up my mind to reply that message.

I don't know why, I just don't know how to react.

I'm being paranoid!

My heart's beating rapidly now. Many things are racing in my mind now. Suddenly in the middle of the night (3am) I heard someone's car alarm went off. It was familiar and sounded so much alike to the alarm of my shared car. Then someone pressed the honk, once. I did not dare to open the door, but I peeped through the curtains and I found that, it was not my car after all. Then whose car was it?

Lately there have been many break in cases in my neighbourhood. Just last weekend, someone broke into my neighbour's house. Yea, the one on the right side of my house, just right beside my house. Then before that, someone broke into the house opposite of mine. Scary right? I mean, imagine a break in case just beside your house!!!!

I heard that the thief not only went in, but ate and drank in the house. Wah... so daring man! That's why lately I'm kinda worried about my house safety, as well as mine and my parents. Our country has turned to be so dangerous.

I thought someone came into my house and wanted to drive my car away. Haha, I'm a worrysome. I tend to imagine things, keep worrying stuffs that people think it's impossible. But, seriously with so many break in cases nearby, how can I not to be worried?

Our society isn't safe anymore. In short, no matter where we are, we must always be alert. Haih...

A Blur Blur Day!

Haha I recovered from a 2-week sickness and thought of ordering delivery Domino since I was kinda lazy to go out for lunch. Mom's not in and I'm home alone for the afternoon. Being a lazy bum, I went online and ordered delivery. I thought I was so smart not to have to step out of my house for lunch.

I was waiting and waiting and I thought the delivery guy was late and I was kinda pleased because normally if they are late, we will receive free coupons as a sign of apology. Then my phone rang and I was pretty sure it was a call from Domino's Pizza at Krystal Point.

The conversation was as below:

Domino : Hello, is this Miss Sherril?
Me : Yeah speaking. [thinking they cannot locate my house]
Domino : Did you just order a personal pizza "Chicken Pepperoni"?
Me : Yeah.
Domino : What was your take out time, miss?
Me : Er 1.25pm. [that time it was already about 1.45pm]
Domino : Yeah, so erm, are you now on your way to collect, miss?
Me : [stunned for a while] Yeah sure I'm now on my way.
[I was still sitting in my living room!]
Domino : Ok thank you.
Me : Thanks.

After ending the call I was like, "What? I thought I ordered delivery? Why must I go and collect myself????"

Then I went online to check the email confirmation content and it stated:

"Take-Out Order"

Oh my goodness! So I've mistakenly online ordered a take away order! Shit! I thought I can just laze around at home waiting for the delivery guy to arrive. And now, I have to drive out to collect it. ISH! No wonder I'm known as Blur Blur!!!!

Aiks, a lesson for me to learn. When I reached there and told them I'm Sherril who ordered online, the guy at the counter was like, "Ok." Giving me a face saying that, "Finally you've come to collect. LOL"

Anyway, maybe it's fated to be like this. Because when I stepped in Domino's I heard someone called "Sherril Leow". I turned and saw my ex-high school mate - Xuan Yi. If I didn't make such stupid mistake I wouldn't have met her. Didn't really chat with her though because she was with her friends.

Went to APT Hair Saloon and Academy at Burmah Road yesterday to have my hair cut by my cousin. She took a hairdressing course there and is going to graduate by the end of this year. She needed me to be her model for her portfolio and I agreed to let her cut and dye =)

Not bad I would say hehe because I get to cut free and wash hair for free ^_^ Well, of course her teacher guided her on how to cut my hair and I'm quite satisfied with the look. I wanted to change a bit of style but don't feel like cutting it short and she really gave me a new look =)

I'll go to her house during the weekend and let her dye. I wanted to dye dark blue but she said it's not lasting. Haih...... should be dyeing some dark brown colour, or maybe dark red purple or something like that. I always wanted some special colour like dark blue or purple but all not lasting. Any suggestions?

浮罗交怡计划 - 社区服务团 Langkawi Project

Haven't blogged in a while huh? Sorry, was busy preparing for my final paper before hand and went out a lot before I started to prepare the Langkawi Project stuffs (浮罗交怡计划).

Wah, just reached home from a 2D1N 社区服务团 (Langkawi Project) training camp in UTAR Sungai Long campus. Seriously, I'm not that tired but hell, my both legs are freaking in pain. Haha I know I'm complaining like an Ah Ma, but really, people who don't exercise much like me will face the same problem after this training camp.

Maybe you think that punishment like pulling ears up and down is easy and light, but when you are being punished 40 over times early early in the morning, you'll know the taste. Haha I'm not grumbling for being punished, but I think I really need to exercise more regularly d.

Haha imagine with our thighs aching like hell, we still need to climb a don't know how many fleets of stairs to the 8th floor of the building. When we need to go toilet within 5 minutes, we had to go down to 5th floor and go back to 8th floor. Haha.... I think I walked like a duck while going down the stairs because my thighs were so pain. LOL.

OK, enough for the negative stuffs. Besides that, I think for overall, I really enjoyed myself. Frankly, I thought of backing off from this programme because there was a time that I was really homesick and I wanted to go back hometown badly. But after this training camp, I'm semangat berbara-bara again. Haha no worries, I'll do my best because I've set my mind on it!

Learnt lots of clappings, dances etc. Plus, today we attended 4 talks and learnt a lot of stuffs. Lazy to list everything out. Basically, it's about:

• brief history and intro about Langkawi Project
• counselling techniques, how to communicate and get along with people
• steps and ways to become a good leader
• education loans, scholarships that can be applied

• types of tertiary education for people who really don't like to study
  Eventhough they are not good in studies, they can still be as successful as us!
  
• things and qualifications that a leader must be well prepared with

Haha sounds boring? But the speakers are experienced speakers. They conducted good talks and successfully enlightened our moods and motivated us by funny and interesting ways of speaking=)

I really hope I can be as successful as those seniors and can guide my soon-to-be adopted brother/sisters well to the least of University level. I will be carrying a great responsibility to ensure that they have the right thinking and concept of education. All the best to everyone including members in Sg Long!

Here, I would like to express my gratitude to members in Sg Long for providing accommodation for members in PJ and Setapak last night, especially to Carmen. Her house is like a hotel to me. THANK YOU girl! It's nice meeting you from the 1st meeting. Next time must remember to take picture with you =)

More hectic after exam LOL

Haven't blogged in a while huh? Sorry, before hand I was busy preparing for my final paper and was totally stressed over it. Felt like vommitting the morning before the paper but after the paper I was totally alright. Haha, guess I was really stressed because I thought I didn't prepare well.

Last Saturday I went to National Zoo. Yea you heard me correctly, I went to NATIONAL ZOO. Haha, when I told my mum I'm going there, my mom was like, "What? You are still a kid a???!! Aiyooo..." Haha yea I'm still a kid so why not go there and have a look since it's so near my house?

Well the zoo's condition not that good, not sure why they didn't maintain it well. I felt that the animals there were so pitiful. They looked so skinny and sort of lack of nutrients. I wonder the 15 bucks that we paid had gone where??

Then on Sunday, we have house outing. For the very first time, all of us, the 7 of us got together and found a suitable time to hang out. COOL! Haha, it's been such a long time since we got to gather everyone in the house together. We went Sunway Pyramid, bought Fern's favourite baggie as her birthday present. She loved it so much =)

We thought of having steamboat as dinner at Yuen (opposite Pyramid) but we didn't make our booking and the booking list was already full. We ended up eating opposite Yuen - Chong Heng Steamboat Restaurant. Hmm... still not bad la. Then we had another surprise for Fern, a surprise birthday cheesecake. Haha, I tell you, she nearly dropped her tears because she was surprised and touched. Well, we didn't celebrate with her earlier because all of us had exam but we did a small joke with her that night =)

Monday had ice-breaking meeting at uni. I was kinda worried because this is the 1st time I'm participating in ice-breaking officially and am the chairman. Before hand I was just a helper. I hope those experienced members as well as my vice chair can help me out. Paiseh, I know I ddin't conduct well the 1st meeting. Hope I will do better!

Tuesday and Wednesday I spent my time in Genting with Kuak, Fern, Wei Yang, Baby Ong and Wai Kit. Quite enjoyable hehe and had a surprise for Kuak since we can't celebrate with him. Anyone going genting still? We went under this package - Special 888 Deals. Haha a standard room in First World Hotel only costs RM38.80 per night inclusive of breakfast (for LOW season of course). Super super super "tat" leh!

Yesterday had my 下乡3rd official meeting. VERY TIRED. Lol, actually everytime after this meeting I'll be super tired. Seriously, I'm kind of homesick right now. I don't know why, suddenly I wanted to go home so much. Feel like backing off from this programme but I know it's impossible. Haih... have to go on with it!!!

Was selected to be the pianoist for our group song. For your information, the song is self-composed by our members and it's very very nice. I'm kinda worried because I haven't seriously played the piano for like, 3 years?? Then, was asked to be the English emcee for the Edu Fair programme for kids. Haha yea I'm worried again. Because I may be ok in writing but not speaking. Oh mama, I'm a worrysome, isn't it? But have to worry because I haven't done anything of this sort before. Save me save me!!

Alright I think I won't be able to blog till the whole event is finished. Below is my schedule:

• 27/9 : Later going to PJ to overnight at a member's house
• 28 - 29/9 : Training camp in Sungai Long campus
• 30/9 - 8/10 : Intensive training camp in PJ campus
• 9 - 12/10 : 社区服务 in Minyak Beku, Batu Pahat, Johor
• 13/10 : Plan to go home! Yes!! I miss Penang so much!!

Wow, lately been doing some research on current Singapore blogsphere as well as current Malaysia political atmosphere.

Am never been interested in politics, but ever since the last major election in March, issues of the dirty-minded politicians have drawn my attention. Sadly indeed, these dramatic plays are for real.

Remember the Immigrant case??!!

He made racist remarks and was suspended for 3 years but Raja Petra Kamarudin, founder of Malaysia Today, Sin Chew Daily reporter Tan Hoon Cheng and DAP Seputeh's MP Teresa Kok were detained by ISA. In history, we were asked and taught to LOVE our country, and taught us to be Bangsa Malaysia. Today I just had my Pengajian Malaysia paper. Needless to say, I did badly. I remember answering the last question :

"Terangkan 4 langkah yang boleh mewujudkan Bangsa Malaysia."

Well, I crapped stuffs in it. I crapped things that I personally feel unsatisfied in it. What to do? We are taught to write these kind of answers. =_='' In your mind, how to form Bangsa Malaysia?

I remember reading the 13 May 1969 incident. This is what was written in the lecture notes that were handed out to us:

".....ketidakseimbangan ekonomi juga antara penyebab peristiwa 13 Mei. Orang Melayu merasa bimbang dan tidak selamat terhadap jurang perbezaan antara mereka dan bukan Melayu terutama dalam pendidikan dan ekonomi."

We are always reminded not to talk and raise any issue about this incident, and yea we DID NOT utter a word about it. But who raised it first after so many years? Alright enough of those. I'm sure avid bloggers are aware of what happened in Singapore blogsphere :

The catfight betwteen 2 Singaporean celebrity bloggers - Xia Xue and Dawn Yang.

While searching the net for more information about the thruth, I came across this blog, http://simonseow.blogspot.com. He posted the screen shots of the DELETED entry post by Xia Xue regarding the Dawn Yang thingy. This entry post created a controversy and Dawn Yang took action to sue Xia Xue by sending Xia Xue a lawyer letter (22 July 2008 enrty). But well, the case is closed already. If you happen to be like me, missed out this particular post and wanted to see how controversial it is, then you can read it in Simon's blog =)

Frankly, I'm not a fan of either of them, but if I have to stand by one side, that'll definitely be Xia Xue! Wahaha... she may not be as pretty as Dawn Yang, but at least she admits the truth and does not deny her plastic surgeries or fake her heritage. (though well, she might be rude at times) If you were to compare the 2 blogs, I would say Xia Xue's blog provides more info, rather than just photos =) Here's the pictures from their blogs.

Just KILL me!

OMG! OMG! OMG!!!!!!!!!

I'm going crazy soon. Nope, I'm crazy ALREADY!!!!

This Electrical Power and Machines is KILLING ME!!!!! Why I just couldn't understand it?!!

Is her notes confusing or I'm the one having problem understanding it? Because before her we were taught by Dr Mahanthy (the famous singing lecturer in UTAR who has already left UTAR). Reading and understanding his notes is not difficult.

But why I can't understand Miss Stella notes? Hmm.. I think should be my problem. I think I'm the only one facing this problem. You know what, I actually went online to google for the topic, just to make sure I really understand. I'm really insane d!

Everything's jumbled up in my mind now:

Hi everyone! How's your revision progress going on? Mine's definitely slow but I'll speed up soon =)

Hmm, most of you should know that I'm a girl who seldom listen to Chinese songs except for Jay's songs of course. At home, 98% of the chinese songs in my TT Player playlist are Jay's songs.

However, lately I came across this song in Kuak's PSP. As stated in my title, it' is:

The melody is quite nice, though personally I'm not a fan of hers, I would say some of her songs are nice. Maybe you can google for some of her songs and see whether you like them or not.
